In a press event conducted by the company last Friday, Samsung’s Marketing Manager, Digital AV, Sagar Dave said, “This camera is the very first of its kind. We are offering functionality and capabilities that no other digital camera manufacturer has yet addressed. It has become increasingly more common for the photographer to switch roles and become the subject of their photo, especially given the rise in the popularity of self-portraits or profile pictures for use on social networking sites.”

The Samsung ST550 has a Dual LCD that allows you to easily take self-portraits. Tapping the front of the camera activates the 1.5-inch LCD to make sure your picture is lined up.
